A business
trip to Glasgow give me the chance for an evening dash to
twitch this beauty - seen easily shortly after arrival.
Windy, dull conditions and a distant bird combined to
make this a record shot.
My fourth
and finally successful attempt to get this species on my
life list!

After a 1.5
hr wait, this bird eventually appeared in a totally
different bush to where most people were watching! It
then proved to be reasonably obliging, feeding on the
ground in the open briefly. Not easy to digiscope well,
though.

Nicely
coming into summer plumage. Conditions for this pic were
poor, with strong wind, and a distant bird which kept
diving. I was surprised it was even identifiable, let
alone reasonably sharp.
